if the Euro-plants would have really learned something (about
sustainablity) from Indigenous people (instead of attempting to
exterminate them), things could be very different.

Personally, I'm not sure rampant greed & consumption is such a great
basis on which to build society.  But no one asked me.

Some cultures just have to learn the hard way.
Too bad they have to take so many species with them on their road to ruin.

& to everything there is a season.  And as we shoot up in our
straight line of growth... we'll fall just as far down the other side.

Though I guess it isn't possible to have a negative number of people
on the earth... so simple extinction may be all we have to deal with.
