Death to cables! I'm working on making my whole house wireless. For now
we'll be going with 802.11b (11M/sec) but when the company where I work puts
out a product (maybe later this year? dunno) you'll be able to run the whole
house (TV, stereo, DVD, VCR, phones, 'net access, networking) thru one
wireless access point. And if the content providers in the US continue the
trend toward wireless delivery for the last 50 feet, you end up with a fully
wireless home (outside the electricity.)
