actually, "hit by" is a bit strong, suggesting malice or deceit

googlebombers aren't really spamming the engine, they are just the fortunate
beneficiaries of google's referrals=relevance algorithm -- okay, i guess
real search engine spammers could say the same about all their old seo
tricks, er, strategies, but in this case the googlebombers are simply
agreeing on the relevant phrase

the bbc article's last paragraph is "Net analysis site Corante has explored
the workings of Google bombs in depth" but they don't give a link
