Sure. After a while you do get tired of waiting for the transition.  I guess
it depends on you level of excitement to eye candy.

Do you think the average user still gets excited about visually "moving"
sites?  I often wonder what people come to expect from a good web site.  Is
it cool? Do I get the info I need?  Do I even know that Hotmail is using the
web.  (My mom doesn't.)
