... but 12-step groups presume there is a problem ... I don't see no steenking problem!

(1) Gibson 3/4 size acoustic ... sunburst ... circa 1965 ... looks like a toy ... but the voicing is incredible! They laugh when they see it. They ask if I wanna sell it when they hear it. They say "damn - the frets are too close together" when they play it.

(2) Guild Bluesbird ... sunburst ... circa 1970 ... hollow body ... gold grovers ... ebony frestboard ... fastest neck I've ever played! [I was once offered an 'even-up' trade - my choice: '57 Les Paul, '58 Les Paul, '58 Flying V ... I kept my Guild. Admittedly not the wisest 'financial' decision of my life!]

(3) Washburn Acoustic ... blonde ... circa 1988? ... solid top ... [I needed a full-size acoustic -- the Gibson is wonderful, but my fingers aren't so small anymore.]

(4) Fender Franken-Strat ... started life as a 'Blackie' el-cheapo $300 strat ... had the body routered and Strat 'Ultra' pickups put in - blue/silver/double-red, a splitter on the bridge pickup, and a 'mother-of-toilet-seat' pick-guard. [You put $400 of mods on a $300 guitar? You're mad ... mad I say!] ;-)

Bought my son a bass last Christmas.

(Wanted: an ES-335 ... a red Parker Fly ... and a dusty Fender Precision Bass sitting in a pawn shop that doesn't want it!) ;-)
