Perhaps I'm more involved/concerned than most
of you about the CARP/internet broadcasting stuff
that's going through at the mo, but...

...the RAIN newsletter today dropped something of
a bombshell.  Assuming it's correct (notwithstanding
what people might think about Mark Cuban), it's
something of a smoking gun.

Me, I'm not a US citizen, so the only person I
could think of to mail was Sen. Maria Cantwell
(D - WA) who used to be a VP at RealNetworks in
my contacts book.  If you're interested (and coming
from a place where, contrary to all expectations,
we just KO'd a really nasty piece of net legislation
by a email-based lobbying campaign), please - really
- bug the shit of of your local elected reps.

If Cuban ain't lying, then the whole CARP process
was the result of a huge, and in no small way
illegally anti-cooperative, fuck-up.
