[thechat] [ot] Windows internet connection sharing

I'm using internet connection sharing with win98 2nd ed at
home. Recently I renamed the connection machine, and the
connection would no longer work. I've tried renaming it
back to it's original name even, and still nothing can
access the net on the other machine. Can anyone suggest
anything that could help?

PS... why do Microsoft even bother providing their online
help? It's absolutely shit-poor.
