just looking at things from a meta-level:

I don't see how drawing borders should be done as anything other than
a last resort.  There are lots of borders in Europe.  And lots of
atrocious wars.

Borders are a concept with no more physical reality than "cyberspace."

One thing Indigenous Americans found difficult to comprehend about
European immigrants was their tendency to build fences all around...
divide up the land.  ...And look at Christian churches... splinter
splinter splinter down, every time there's a disagreement...  instead
of finding a creative way to resolve or settle differences they build
another fence.  And then they start fighting about the fence.

"tied her with fences and dragged her down..."

Now if *women* were in charge... (hehe)
