Sheesh.  If that's what they're concerned about, they obviously didn't play
the game (you don't see anything, it's not vital to the course of the game,
etc.)...or they apparently have no problem with beating the brains out of
someone with a baseball bat...

For the 900th time: GTA3 is not popular exclusively for it's violent
content (there are games that are more violent that suck), but because it
has open-ended gameplay: run missions for people, drive boats, drive cabs,
deliver pizzas or just drive around aimlessly through the huge environments...

...on the sidewalk.
