Hi Terry,

I sympathize!  ;-)  I once had some sun-rotted speakers mounted on
the deck behind the rear seats that [literally] turned to dust the
day I cranked up Heart's 'Barracuda'!  It was pretty sad.

Not sure if I could help ... I'm not up on what's new in car audio
these days, but these folks seem to still be in business:
