It only counts if it lasts five years. Something like 80% of those who
try to lose weight will weigh *more* in five years than when they
started.

About 2% of the people who try to lose weight this year will lose it
and keep it off five years. Also, about 2% of the people who *aren't*
trying to lose weight this year will lose it and keep it off five
years.

Diets, "sensible eating", exercise programs and "lifestyle changes"
don't seem to work.  What does? Well, the biggie is cancer. If you are
fortunate enough to get cancer, your worries are over.
