Yup - there's a few out here ... [Rudy has regularly posted interesting
astronomy tidbits for quite a while.] ;-)
I haven't fooled with it much aside from attempting some night sky
photography from time to time.
However, I do have an old *analog* starfinder. It looks kind of like a
kaleidoscope - with rings to turn for year, month, and day (if memory
serves). I think it also had separate inserts for Northern and Southern
hemispheres.
{Hmmm ... Maybe I'll dust it off and see if I can figure out how it
works again.}
I'm sure there are software versions available at a reasonable price.

Is anyone here into astronomy? I got a lovely old telescope for
Christmas, but I know nothing about it. It's an orange-tube C8 (and if
you know what that means, you're ahead of where I was two weeks ago).
Been reading like crazy on the 'net for the last week, of course.
