Yeah, I thought "kamikaze" was a pretty clear indication that the deer was
likely to die in the process -- not something that I can imagine happening
when a buck tries to gore you.

Though I've never been in a car that hit a deer, I've known quite a few
people who have.

I personally know of only one person, quite indirectly and about 40 years
ago, who was threatened by a large forest beastie, and he escaped it (though
given that it was an adult moose, that's pretty surprising).

But maybe this is just a Northwest US bias -- in other parts of the world,
are people being attacked and/or killed on a regular basis by angry (not
stupid) deer? Is this an epidemic I should be aware of? Or is Ron just
lucky? :)
