Heh.  You get used to it.  It's very gradual...$20 for a Japanese edition
of Shonen Jump, $35 for an import soundtrack, $95 for an import video game,
$150 for a short DVD Box Set...suddenly you find yourself paying $550 for
an animation cel or $1,000 for a 5-foot-tall replica of Char's Zaku from
Mobile Suit Gundam without even blinking.  You start planning trips to
Japan because it'll actually be cheaper than the shipping charges and
import duties... :)

I'm reading a message board thread today about a guy who added up the cost
of his collection and it was over $10,000 in DVDs alone.  I don't think
mine's that bad, but it is multiple thousands of dollars.

OK, now that I've scared everyone away from my hobby (if you weren't
already)... ;)
