   Just getting through some of the backlog of mail from the weekend... I
was in Matala few years ago, one of the places in the world I really want
to go back to.  It's still just a village, not that many hotels, although
lots of demi-pensions, and gorgeous beaches. Although the red beach
requires a bit of climbing to get up and back down to, has a goat
population, and may shock, given that two-thirds of the people there are
likely to be nude. Then again, I thought the red beach was the best bit...
