Back in the days when I had a checking account that actually returned my 
used checks to me ... I got one back in my statement that I had forgotten 
to sign (I think I had mailed it in to cover an AmEx bill) - at any rate 
the signature line was completely blank - not even a pretend signature.

It was processed and cashed anyway.
