"Whack-whack" is one I actually use. This is because when I was training
people in "Introduction to the Internet" back in the Days of Hell, they
needed precise directions and I always had to prounounce the complete
URL of anywhere we were going, starting with HTTP.

People have different names, or no name, for the / character, so it was
easy to designate it as "whack" and call out "whack whack" 700 times a
day.

Much better than "forward slash forward slash" -- the default popular
first choice, but a term not nearly as elegant as "backslash" IMHO.

If you ask thebot for the *dukeofbri* or *dukeofseb* or dukeof any
regular #evolt hanger-outer, thebot will reply with that person's
primary URL :)
