I read and agree to with any service agreement I enter into, certainly 
Google would explain that ads will be influenced by the content of 
their emails. Maybe I wouldn't like this and I wouldn't sign up for 
Gmail. Maybe I'd see it as the best part of the service!

I recall reading that when you send an attachment with Hotmail, it 
becomes the intellectual property of Microsoft. So I don't use Hotmail. 
Others might not mind, and MS should be able to provide the service 
under their own terms.

Same thing with Google's Gmail.
