Even my girlfriend (and she's no countrysider, mind you, she was born in 
the middle of Paris, France, and has always lived in the big city) has 
difficulties accepting I'm calling 'friends' this "guy I know who opened 
a restaurant in India", and this "other guy in Scotland who's just 
christened his wee lad", etc etc.

By the way, where do you live in Ireland? I really loved County wicklow 
the last time I went there. The people, the pubs, the people, the 
scenery, the people, the pubs (ad lib)
Loved that.

Caught pneumonia on the Sugar Loaf, but loved it nonetheless. :)
