Hi Gang,

Joel has suggested that I might need some encouragement to keep
spirits high during the boat search thang.

A 'music to boat to' disk might be just the ticket!!

I'm sure a lot of folks here have put together 'drive time'
and 'car' and 'car trip' music disks ... How 'bout some
suggestions for a _boat music_ compilation disk.

Joel 'floated' the idea by suggesting Lyle Lovett's "If I Had a Boat".

I've thought of:
- George Benson's "La Mer" (Beyond the Sea)
- and Frankie Ford's "Sea Cruise" as definite 'must rip's.

- David Crosby's "Southern Cross" would probably be included
as a change of pace.
- Alan Jackson's "Drive" will probably also make the cut.

But I need more upbeat stuff!

- Still debating on whether to include The Hues Corporation's
"Rock The Boat" ... Or was it Aaliyah? ... Chris Cagle? ... Bob
Marley and the African Herbsmen?

I feel pretty confident 'El Parrothead' has a decent boat song
docked somewhere.

I'm not sure the Skye Boat Song, Venetian Boat Song, Canadian
Boat Song or even the Banana Boat Song quite qualify for what
I'm going for here.

Similarly, I'm not sure Olivia Newton John's "Boats Against the
Current" is zactly what I'm after either.

But I'm certainly open to most suggestions! What else needs
to go on the disk?

(Although ... Thanks but No ... "Michael Row the Boat Ashore"
is most definitely _not_ going to be a part of the disk!! Noooo!
Not Gonna Happen!)

"Second star to the right and straight on till morning"!

RonL.
