Don't read too hard neither ... at first I thought you was

I remembered "Popsicle", though I doubt anyone else will. It 
wasn't exactly Jan & Dean's greatest hit.

Thought about "Five Years" by Bowie because of that line in the 
middle about 'saw you in an ice cream parlor' - but that song 
wasn't really _about_ ice cream so it didnae really count.

The only other real 'ice cream' song I could really come up 
with was that old classic by the Mamas and the Papas.

You know ...

Dang. What was it called?

Lyrics went something like ...

"Sundae Sundae, so good to me"
"Sundae Sundae, it was all I hoped it would be"

That had to be about ice cream, right?
