Yup, all genuinely bought DVDs.

Yup, WinDVD, WinMediaPlayer, VLC.

Did, to no avail.

Did too, to no avail either.

Rebooted with Ubuntu and couldn't even make VLC work properly. I suck 
with computers, I guess.

Too bad. We're condemned to the sofa.
