  I need to get a new digital camera to take close up shots at
about 1:1. I've been using an ancient Kodak D260 (really, it is
that old), but you have to speak nice to it to get it to power
up now.

  I use TWAIN drivers to shoot while it is connected to my laptop
so I can pump the photos directly into my image software. I mount
the camera on a ring stand base with a silly looking bunch of
clamps so I can calibrate the focus easily.

  Does anyone have any ideas on modern cameras that have TWAIN
drivers and close up lens available? I haven't done a serious
search yet, but I may need to search in a hurry when the old
geezer camera decides to quit.
