[thechat] Online Backup

I use SugarSync to automate syncing files between my desktop, laptop and web/smartphone access.

It works great for me.

Wherever I am, I always have the latest version of a file, edit it and be sure that the next time I sit at any other device, the changes will be reflected.

Lovely.

I have heard consistently good things about Carbonite but can't use it
because it only backs up local drives, and I have multiple external drives
to back up.

We use Dragon Disc syncing to Amazon's S3, which is not automatic, but
simple and dirt cheap (free for the Windows-only tool, nine cents per GB for
the storage)
