so add your things to the recap, change the author even, if it matters that
much to you who's name is on the recap. but while we don't have a better
system for it. let's at least use what we have.

and we have the monthly recap ... an unapproved article in the que, to be
edited throughout the month.

| january. they've been diligently watching thechat, etc, etc for
| 'community' type items and plan on submitting their article at the end of
| the month they're writing about(because really, when else would they
| submit it?). i have a feeling they'd be disappointed  to get an email

| this article at the beginning of the month. nice work though. if you
| hurry and submit a placeholder article now however, you might be able to
| get june!"

oh, please.  the only email they would possibly get is: thank you for your
submission, others have already started compiling a recap, but be sure to
note that we will include your submissions in that recap.

no one is calling dibs. the first bits and pieces were ready to be inserted
into the 'will appear in this month's recap' list ... and that list
happened to be an unapproved article, collecting the data while the month
passes.

it's rather to make sure that information won't be lost while the month
passes.

| be something to 'recap' first...

to quote myself from few lines above:
