I found it very insulting and I don't understand how people are okay with
one list member saying that the rest of us are so stupid that we need to
be spoken to as a little child.

Anyways, you're right, Aard. I hear more and more comments about how
theforum is too much bickering and whatnot and less and less people are
participating. Adding control over the footer is probably a good idea. But
there is surely more we could do...
