In fact, something I routinely do is set up dev.$hostname to do
non-production development and testing, so no reason why we can't have deo,
dweo, dteo and dpeo ... so that we can fiddle with stuff in a similar
environment without having to play on production code ... and nice variables
can take care of cross-site redirects (e.g. $weo/path instead of
http://work.evolt.org/path ...)
