Additionally, is there any reason why we're tacking the session id stuff to
*all* forms and src'ed media regardless of it's path?  (ie, we're adding it
to PayPal forms, and image paths and what-not.  Huh?)

Honestly, I don't think you stressed just how bad this is for search
engines.  So, lemme take a stab:
