no problem.  i'm not trying to pick apart what you're saying.  i'm trying to
analyze the problem(s) and potential solution(s).  right now i'm not sure i
see how ueue is going to solve the unified sessions problem though unless we
implement some sort of database-backed session management (yuck) which
brings up back to having to give database access to all the subsites.

no offense to anyone involved, but if the site is under our
domain/logo/namesake/whatever then we should have some level of control over
the site or damn well better trust the individual responsible for said site.
is that too much to ask?

maybe unified logins is more of a social issue than a technical one?
