sorry. i tried to leave as much as possible to maintain context while still
snipping enough so it didn't look like a bunch of one-liner replies to a
huge block of text (thereby confusing the specific point i was referring to
which might be buried in the middle of said block of text).

context isn't really that important in my replies as you and i know what you
said. i think it's more important to be able to pinpoint exactly what
point(s) i'm responding to. i don't think i should have to say this, but i
*don't* selectively snip to confuse people or purposely alter the context.

that i can recall, yes.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

i didn't say 2+ years ago. i said *in* the past 2+ years. in other words,
this is something that started 2+ years ago and has continued up til the
other day when suddenly a complaint was registered.

back at ya buddy.

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

no, it's not moot. i don't always change things when i log in. sometimes i
log in to see how something was done. additionally, there's *nothing* that
says that each of those 68 logins reflects a different change. many of
those logins could be tied to a session of coding where i reached the ftp
session timeout before i was finished making changes and saving them. post
the 68 logins and i'll do my best to account for every one of them.

fwiw, if you'd bothered to read the 3 examples i posted, you'd have seen
that i did say *how* i'd fixed the problems i encountered. additionally,
there are comments in the code in places where i wanted to make sure there
was information left behind about changes and the reason behind them.

speaking of ftp logs -- if they're going to be held over people's heads,
then i think they ought to be accessible to any member of this list. that's
not too much to ask is it?

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

yeah, sorry. was curious what exactly was in the file and then had to help
with the baby. maybe you've been too far out of the loop lately to hear
that announcement.

thanks,
