that's bizarre... so it inherited the MIME-type of the message i

no problem...
and FWIW, my asking why we even allow HTML messages to be
parsed and passed through wasn't questioning your work or ability...
it is, however, still in my mind... i was more than content knowing
they were bouncing... and as far as i knew, since i didn't hear
otherwise, there was no moving target to hit when it came to MIME-
types, attachments, etc...
