cuz you hit your limit...

anyway, last headlines mail went out on the 23rd
http://lists.evolt.org/archive/Week-of-Mon-20020318/107578.html

none for the 26th, the date of your article...

your article was approved on the 27th, even though the date of the submission
(and article) was the 26th, and so it entered the new articles queue as the
26th...

i'd guess what happened is that it was approved *after* the headline batch ran
for the 26th (it was approved at 0:21 AM CST), but it was dated the 26th, so it
didn't get picked up by the 27th batch job because it was an old date...

of course, to dave, he approved it on the 26th, because he's not in CST, he's
earlier still...

no announcement went out for the article on the 25th, either, which if looked
up, might have similar date/time attributes (around midnight)...

problem:

- we assume the server is in our time zone, which we see all the time when
those messages come in dated so old they fall off my mail view...

- we approve late at night, when we have time to review...

- we don't check to see if the article date matches the approved date listed in
the email announcement to admin...

solution:

- short term: we read the admin approval announcement and compare the
date of the announcement to admin to the date of the article...

- long-term: dunno... change time zones?

going to bed now...
