Okay, this thread has been beaten to death but I want to add one more thing.
When you're being paid 90k/year you are expected to really know your stuff.
No mistakes. No screwing around. When you're being paid around 30k/year you
can make mistakes, you can screw around (a little) and you can make time to
learn new skills without having to justify every minute. Sometimes there's
freedom in being the peon.
