[thelist] Utility for monitoring disk access

Hi.

I run Win2K Pro on my desktop. Sometimes, I see my hard disk whirring when
I'm not doing anything that would cause it. Of course, it could just be my
paging file, and I do run ZoneAlarm, so no Trojans are on my PC.

However, I'd like to have a utility that lets me see which programs are
accessing the hard disk at any given instance.
Do you know of any such utility?

If you're running Win2K Pro and want a real performance boost, turn off the
damn indexing service. It's one of the most inefficient programs ever
written. Disable it in the "services" applet.

Thanks,

Madhu
