[thelist] slightly OT: bookmarks managers/aggregators

Having just discovered the amazing Quicksilver thanks to thelist I thought I would ask if anyone knew of bookmarks/favourites management or aggregation software. Google has lots of links but I can't spend the time to look at all the features. So, any general experience or tips with them?

Modern browsers and presumably all the bookmarks managers do a good job of importing other bookmarks but then you are faced with the prospect of moving all those into the proper place and other spring cleaning.

Is there anything that will import numerous bookmarks files, all with their own topic categorisation scheme,
and then combine them,
deleting duplicates, highlighting ones with different titles - choice which to use
working out where in your topic categorisation scheme each one should go
doing link checking to identify if it is even still there and reporting different errors 404, 300, etc
doing repeat checking to see if it was just a transitory error
maybe even check to see if the title of the current live resource is different from the bookmark properties version - choice which to use

This is really on-topic because
* my website is currently struggling dealing with all the user-suggested URLs we are getting.
* after 8 and a half years as a webmaster I have so many different old bookmarks files, that I am reluctant to throw out but don't know what to do with,

cheers

I would provide a URL for my official staffpage, but its too long and complex
