[Javascript] help: am i ready to read pro js design patterns?

Hey I was hoping for some feedback from anyone who has read the book "Pro
Javascript Design Patterns" by Ross Harmes and Dustin Diaz. I don't have any
Object Oriented Programming or design pattern experience and don't know if I
should read up on that before looking into this book. Any insight would be
much appreciated.
