[Sysadmin] subsciption to theforum

hi all,

not sure if this is the right list to mention this, but someone whispered
to me just now that theforum is a locked list. that you need to be approved
to join it.
am i just crazy or has this always been the case?

it might, so then i won't complain (just suggest a change) or it might be
new and then i might complain ... or ... whatever.
