few years ago, I flew from San Diego to SFO for a trade show. I carry a
big fat black bag with everything I could possibly need for anything.
ever.
unfortunately, this was a few months after 9/11, and I hadn't been in an
airport in 10 years. I got to spend some quality face time with the head
of security at San Diego int'l, who eventually joked that he wished he'd
been conducting a class, 'cause I was in the process of violating
virtually every possible rule about what you can carry on an airplane .
. .
in other news, they just announced that the company I'm working for is
shutting down. might have a job as long as end of year, but probably
just until October 10.
hate the idea of another office job, but with Sue's recent three-month
hospital stay, and 12 to 18 months of recovery time, health insurance is
gonna be an absolute requirement, and paying for it myself is daunting.
I hear there's places where the government actually considers health
care a basic human need, and provides for it. what a concept. (no, I'm
not trolling; I know socialized medicine has two sides, but there are
times, there are times . . ..)
