yes, we'd need a description column on the categorys table with a datatype
of long.  then, in the category add/edit/delete interface (which i've yet to
build) we'd need to add a text area for managing the new column.  finally,
at the top of the article listing pages we'd output this category
description.  the one exception would be the home page as it's a collection
of content from all categories.
