[thelist] Best Way to Make a Forum

Hey,
  I was wondering what is the best way to make an ASP forum. When I say
best, I mean one that will be fast, and eat up little server resources.
Should I store messages in a database, and if so what datatype should
messages be.  Or, should I store messages in files and use the filesystem
object.  If I did this, would I want to store each message in an individual
file?  Or if there is a better way, please tell me.  Thanks.
