you don't see how ironic it is that it took longer to assess how long it
would take for actual development than the actual development itself?

many reasons, some of which involved how much time i had available (no work
tonight) at the time, how it was requested, and other factors.  you all got
lucky because i learned of the request earlier today and didn't end up with
any work that needed to be addressed tonight.
