people like me to take it off-list, or I can dig out some tips?]

But what about machines out there in the real world that haven't had
their plugins upgraded? It happens. Someone grabs a plugin to view a
piece of content their co-worker tells them about, then they never use it
again.

Even a place where developers could grab old version for their own
testing would be handy when these sort of situations arise. We've got a
browser archive, why not a plugin archive?

It was authored in 8 (PC), and nope, no Flash. At first I thought it was
a MIAW problem, but although there is MIAW Lingo in the .dir files, it's
never called. It's a bit of a mess in there to be honest.

The only common thing with the machines where I've managed to make it
crash is that their Shockwave versions are around the 7 mark. My machine
had 6, works fine. I upgraded my machine to 8, works fine. Yet it falls
over on these ver7 machines (even though the ver8 .dlls are on the CD).

Hence wanting the old installer. If I could reproduce the crash on my
down-graded machine, then I would be a step closer to cracking this thing.

[scratches head]

Thanks for jumping in here zac. If you can offer any pointers I would be
very grateful. Been banging my head against this for a few days now.
