sorry, phil, no, but may i suggest an alternative

put a two unchecked radio buttons under the text -- "yes i agree" and "no i
do not agree" (or whatever your situation is)

validating that one of them is checked when the Continue button is pressed
will be a lot easier to code than your scrolling thingie

plus, since they are under the text, the user will have had to scroll to
check one of them
