OK, So the range could mean the date of publication is a collection of many

I know the nature of websites means updates can be frequent, but plastering
the whole site with the entire (C) 200x - {this.year} wouldn't be entirely
accurate, or helpful if a copyright issue arose, this wouldn't be good
enough, you're going to need to demonstrate the exact publication date of
the article in question I'm afraid.
