It's the same with Oil changes... The Jiffy Lube's of the world say every
3000 miles,  but I read an article the other day that said most auto
manufacturers haven't recommended that since the 60's. Seems most recommend
between 5 and 10K before changing. With the obvious exceptions of lots of
dust, heavy hauling etc. So check those owner's manuals...
