Speaking of Shonen Knife...

Just yesterday I was looking at software to remove pop up windows and
banner ads and such and found some really nice software called
Proxomitron. It essentially uses user-configurable regular expression
searches along with javascript to rewrite incoming and outgoing web pages
while acting as a proxy server. It's nice free software. Available at:
http://spywaresucks.org/prox/

One of the more interesting bits about the software, though, is its
licensing. It is neither shareware nor freeware, but rather it is
ShonenWare. To "register" the program, the author asks that you buy a
Shonen Knife album, listen to it, and email him your detailed impressions
of the album.

See: http://spywaresucks.org/prox/shonenware.html

Fascinating concept.

Judah
