Chap gets off the plane in a tropical locale and during the islanders'
greeting ceremony he hears drums off in the distance. "Ah, music!" he
thinks.

During the gala dinner event, he can still hear the drums in the
distance, and they're still there to lull him to sleep that night.

Next morning, the drums are still at it; lunchtime is practically ruined
by the confounded hammering and by dinner time when the racket is about
to push him over the edge he goes to the concierge and says, "Do the
drums EVER stop!?!?!"

Concierge says "Oh, sir, you don't want the drums to stop. Very bad when
drums stop."

"Oh? What happens then?"
