it's not.  it's trying to force the keyword to a numeric value (0 if it's a
string).  so, i could enter in 20938 and get a result for my latest
javascript article.  obviously, in this case it thinks that
val("information") should be "inf" (infinite).  however, it's not that
useful anymore and doesn't need to be there.
