I disagree completly.

I agree completely.

>From a search engine stand point, an h1 and other upper-level tags call precident over
a th cell.  The css is a better solution all around.  If you're number 1 now, you
really have nothing to loose.  After all, google goes on content more than titles and
meta tags.
