That is true. I don't believe I stated that you were not allowed to or that
it was anything other than my opinion, and my opinion alone. If anything,
your Anti-MS sentiment seems to show that you're hoping to change some
opinions. I'm just proclaiming mine...

Ok, so we've definitely established that you have a problem with me stating
my opinion. So much so, you're going to run down the list of statements and
tell me how wrong I am.

Now by me saying they have a comprehensive collection of information - true
whether you wish to believe it or not - and you putting words into my mouth
by saying that I believe Microsoft should be responsible for most of the
languages it sounds like you'd rather start an argument instead of having a
discussion.

I might suggest that you do not know how to use the site.

Ahhh, being the most comprehensive does not mean it is complete. I'm pretty
sure you won't find many Cobol references or any Pascal. It's so large
though, that if you dig enough, you just might find something on them.

Let me ask you this: Do the PHP and Java sites you go to have the voluminous
amounts of information regarding ASP, VB, C#, JavaScript, etc, etc that
Microsoft does?

I meant documentation that helps me get the job done is BOTH IE and NN if I
have a question about a property, event, method, etc... Mind you, that's
using up-to-date versions of the respective browsers. When something else
takes over a sizable chunk of my viewing audience, I'll figure out where
I've got to go from there. I also use Interdev and SQL Server...

If I develop desktop Apps, then I use VB6 or .Net. So of course I'm going to
have the opinion that Microsoft suits my needs and has everything I need.

Seeing as MSDN is designed for Windows users, and you're talking about
working in a non-Windows environment, I don't see that as being such a big
shock.

Like I said - whether you will ever think it or not - MSDN is the most
comprehensive collection of developer information on the net. Unless that
is, you can show me a better collection.

Now to finish this long email off, I have NO idea why you took such umbrage
to me making such a simple statement. Is your hatred for Microsoft that
great? You don't see me ridiculing whatever technologies you decide to use,
do you?

I just find it ironic (and irritating) that you started your e-mail off by
acting as though my statement was infringing on your right to an opinion.
